The first time I did Newport Restaurant Week at The Mooring Seafood Kitchen & Bar, it was a few years ago for my birthday dinner–I still remember forcing myself to eat the dessert out of sheer, self-induglent will, beyond the point of fullness.
It was great to take a break during the workday and try The Mooring for lunch. The $16 prix fixe could have easily been a dinner:
